This is a journal of a work in progress, a new series of large size oils where I explore the backstage world of Opera Houses. The fictional opera characters and the theater workers 'live' the selected operas in a visual game that reminds us of the age old question, 'Does life imitate art, or vice versa? I'll add drawings, photos, comments, input from friends (like Marcelo Chaparro and my aunt Lia Tortonese) and everything that is nourishing this project. www.rafael-landea.com
